Thomas Melvin Ziegler, age 73, passed away suddenly on Thursday,
April 6, 2023, in the Denver North Suburban Hospital. Born in Buffalo,
New York on December 16, 1949, he was the 2nd of 8 children of the
late James and Sylvia (Loos) Ziegler.
Tom graduated from West Seneca West High School, class of 1967.
Upon graduation, Tom served 2 years in the Army at Ft Knox, Kentucky.
He then moved to Boulder, Colorado where he pursued his bachelor's
degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, obtaining his BA in
Political Science. He worked at the US Post Office for many years. His
passion, however, was woodworking. This was reflected in his business,
Diversified Office Products, and unique touches to his home, filled with
many handcrafted items and gifts.
Tom was a dog-lover, and is survived by his latest rescue, Harley. He
will be missed by many friends, his cousins, along with siblings: Alan
(Shirley), the late James (late Paula), Joe (Carla), Donna (Tom) Kaiser, the
late John (Julie), the late Carol (Tom) Carter, and Lynn (Bruce) Geist. He
was a friend to many of his 15 nieces and nephews, and has 16 grand
nieces and nephews.
The family has decided on a military recognition at Ft. Logan, Colorado
on Friday May 19th at 9:15. A memorial service will take place at Church
of the Risen Lord, 2700 Champa on May 20th at 2:00. In June, a
memorial service will be held in Buffalo, New York.
