This is the celebration of Shirley Mae Camp. She was born on May 20th 1953, the oldest daughter to two amazing parents Eula James and Jean Adele Camp in Shelby, North Carolina. She was a gifted art student graduated from Burns High School and soon after married Kenneth Littlejohn and had 6 children…Kenjena, Sheldon, Shirmeca, Kevin, Mark and Mikia Littlejohn. After marriage they soon relocated to Colorado, in 1980 to have a better life.

Shirley and Kenneth did everything to make sure their kids had a great life.   Over and over they made sure to tell us kids that it was always family is all you got and precious and hard to find.  Hold on to you cause the world can be hard place. Shirley took on many jobs to help support the family, she did what was needed every time. She was a person with many talents, she managed hotels, she volunteered to teach sewing and home economics at night for Emily Griffith. She went to work for Montgomery Wards as the head of the gift department, where she did everything from gift wrapping to cake and candy decorator. She loved the freedom it gave her cause it allowed her to use her artist skills as a art student cause she loved drawing. She enjoyed making candy and she loved decorating the cakes.  She was so good at it she was made the regional trainer for the chain. Sometimes would sneak a kid or two with her while she worked. Eventually she moved on became the personal pastor secretary to Madeline Toombs at the First Assembly of God in Montbello.  She took pride in all her jobs, but loved being the Church secretary, it allowed her to be at church and show her love for the lord.

It was while she worked for at the church, Shirley and Kenneth went on to become Foster parents. They were Foster parents for over 25yrs. There was no child Shirley would turn away. Her heart was so big, social services knew that if they contacted Shirley she would never say no. Shirley made sure that every child that got placed with her never missed a family visit, always installing in her own kids Family is all you got in life, and they were not as blessed as we were and they too need to know what love is and what a real family feels like. And that she made sure every child that got placed with her knew. They love to send thier kids back and forth in the summer time and even brought nephew Julius witch caused him to fall and make is family in colorado as well. o spend summer Sadly Shirley and Kenneth eventually love ended and they divorced.  Shirley still  took care of her 6 kids and foster mother to a host of her children friends. She even said then blood didnt count  always to mean you are family either it's the love you show one another.  Mom made sure every kid felt family love.

Shirley retired from being a foster parent after 25yrs, she went to moved back to Shelby to be closer to her parents and siblings. There she still spreaded her love of the lord and family too. After her parents passing a few hip surgeries late, she moved back to Colorado to stay. She made so much progress back to being able to move around hanging with grandkids, she would always say she was happy, in  a lot of pain, but she tried not to let it show.

Sadly God told Shirley she completed all of her tasks and she had nothing left to do. He called her home on August 13th,2024
She is preseeded in death by her parents Eula and Jean Camp, a brother Hubert Camp.

She is survived by brothers JQ Camp, Tommy Camp, Rafus Camp, Vanessa Hopper, Maragot Camp, Mary Hillman.  And a host of Neices and Nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She also leaves behind her children Kenjena Littlejohn (John Hughes) , Sheldon Littlejohn, Shirmeca Littlejohn, Kevin Littlejohn, Mark Littlejohn (Brittany Littlejohn) Mikia Harris Littlejohn. Her Grandkids – Malcolm, Micah, Kierra ( Steven Barr), Ke'shad, Javonte Hughes (Lavern Robinson) Sierra, Saveion, Jada, Savannah, Tristen, Trent, Tiana, De' Andre, Kehilani, Marcarius, Marcari Littlejohn. And great grand kids Shia Olivia(Kierra and Steven)  Amarae, and Orion Oliver(Sierra and Jovon) Izreel (Saveion and Halendee) Kalayah(Jovante and Lavern) a host of  relatives and friends.
