Rogelio Olivares, 28, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
Rogelio was born March 22, 1995, in Baytown, to parents, Roberto Olivares and Dolores Mata. Rogelio attended and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2013 and attended Texas A & M University, later transferring to the University of Houston where he graduated with his bachelor's. He was an avid gamer and sports fan, often participating in fantasy sports leagues. As a Houstonian his heart was with his home teams, cheering on the Rockets, Texans, and Astros. He was passionate about film and was a dog and cat person, his heart too big to only choose one. Rogelio was a hard worker and reserved, sharing his life with his closest family and friends. He was immensely loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
As we remember Rogelio today, let's carry forward the spirit of his laughter and the legacy of his kindness. In doing so, we honor not just the memory of a remarkable soul but the profound impact he had on each of us. Rest in peace, dear Rogelio.
Mr. Olivares was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gilberto and Raquel Mata, and Jose and Cleotilde Olivares. He is survived by his mother: Dolores Mata, father: Roberto Olivares, siblings: Cleo Olivares, Roberto Olivares, Jose Olivares, and Rebeca Olivares and husband Salvador Medina, nieces: Emily, Sophia, and Elena, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
