Frank Lee Stewart
January 7, 1957~ April 28, 2023
It didn't matter if Frank was playing basketball, dealing cards, fishing, camping, and listening to music. In his sixty-six years of life, Frank's greatest joy Frank ever experienced was when he was spending time with his family. A man is proud to be called a mama's boy and a family man.
In the daylight hours of a wintry day in 1957 Eloise entered labor, arriving at the University Hospital of Little Rock, AR. Eloise recalls that it was a cold day. It was Monday, the 7th of January, and although the climate outside held a chill, Eloise felt nothing but warmth in her heart as she gave birth to her bouncing baby boy, Frank Lee Stewart. Frank's parents, Eloise Porter and Arthur Junior Stewart could not have been happier or prouder with their bundle of joy. Frank had two older sisters, Carmen, and Hollisann.
Eloise and Frank moved to Lansing, MI, when Frank was ten months old, where Frank would spend the rest of his life. He was educated in the Lansing school system attending Eastern high school.
As an adolescent, Frank attended the YMCA, where he learned to swim, and the staff would take the youngsters camping, fishing, and hiking. Frank developed a love for nature during this time.
Frank worked odd jobs to support himself and his family until his health prevented him from working. While Frank never married, he fathered three beautiful children. Sons Frank Lee Cunningham, Alexander James Cunningham, and daughter Angela Denise Cunningham. Angela details how she and her father took fishing and camping excursions as she was growing up.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Junior Stewart, and son Frank Lee Cunningham.
Still, the glow of Frank Lee Steward will remain forever in the heart of his mother, Eloise Porter, his children, Alexander James Cunningham, and his daughter Angela Denise Cunningham. Frank's sisters Carmen C. Newton and Hollisann Miller. His auntie Willesther Byes (Aunt "D"). Grandsons Damien Cojack Brown and Devonn Lee Brown. Plus, a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
