Darrell Kevin McDonald, 56, of Colorado Springs passed away on December 26, 2020.

Darrell was born in Colorado Springs to Garnet McDonald Evans and Max McDonald Jr. He grew up with six siblings Darwin, Kellee, Larissa Michelle and Terry, as well as a German Shepherd named Corporal. As a youth he loved to draw, build model planes and play music which carried on into his adulthood. He also loved to collect comic books and movies, and he enjoyed playing both board and video games. He graduated from Palmer High School and later went on to receive an Associate's degree in Architecture.

Darrell loved to cook and shared his recipes. He worked at King Soopers for the last 13 years, where he cultivated friendships by always smiling and singing. His helpful and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel happy and accepted.

In 1983 he met his daughter's mother and they had one child born in 1988. He loved his friends and family immensely. In addition to his daughter, JaNae, Darrell is survived by his mother Garnet, brothers- Darwin, Kelly and Terry, as well as sisters- Larissa and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers- Mildred Shoecraft and Una Dorothy McDonald, grandfather- Max H. McDonald Sr. as well as his father- Max H. McDonald Jr.

The funeral service will be held at Lakeside Church of Colorado at 11:00 AM on Sunday, January 3, 2021. A limited number of guests are able to attend due to Corona Virus, but the service will be live streamed at blank.
