"A LIFE WELL LIVED"

SEPTEMBER 7, 1945 ~ SEPTEMBER 25, 2022

Cora is standing in the kitchen gathering the ingredients to prepare her famous Smother Green Burritos.

In the background, music plays with a playlist that includes a wide variety of artists ranging from Country, Pop to R&B.

Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and friend.

Born in the late Summer of 1945 in Denver, Colorado, one of four children to Father Abel Gonzales and mother, Juanita López.

Cora was educated in the Denver Public Schools. However, she developed a very healthy work ethic, and after high school, she started her career as a placement clerk.

Cora worked as a Placement clerk for several organizations; the pleasure was she wasn't tied down to just one entity. She could travel from place to place, learning and sharpening her skills.

Cora had two beautiful children, Robert and Desiree, her true legacy of LOVE. Cooking for them brings her joy beyond measure.

Cora was blessed to have two loves in her life, yet, her greatest love was Chris Vigil, who proceeded to her in death.

Cora was known for cooking, laughing, clowning around, loving playing bingo, going to her favorite restaurant Taco House drinking coffee or Coca-Cola, and doing Mexican dancing. Watching the Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50 was one of Cora's greatest joys.

Cora's star shall shine bright for its entirety in the hearts of her family and friends.

Cora was raised in the Catholic Church; however, she attended the East Denver Church of Christ, across the street from her home in Park Hill.

Early fall in Denver, Colorado, Sunday, September 25th, 2022, Cora crossed the majestic river and found herself safe in the arms of her mother and father. Still, Cora will be honored in the lives of her Granddaughter Jazmyne Ruiz, Grandson Jeremy Pacheco, and bonus granddaughter Janine LeDoux. Her siblings and a host of family and friends.

Grandma

You fed me well, you made me strong.
You taught me to know right from wrong.
You made me feel that I belong.
You showed me the value of a song.
You gave me life, you gave me love.
You always knew the way I feel.
You used the words you thought might heal.
You convinced me it was no big deal.
Your advice would keep it real.
You gave me life, you gave me love.
Broken hearts you liked to mend.
It was not in your nature to offend.
Birthday cards you'd always send.
You knew the value of family and friends.
You give me life, you give me love.
You left me now, you've gone away.
I'm left behind, I have to stay.
So I'll just have to pray.
I'll meet you again another day.
You always had that 'special touch'.
I loved you so very, very much.
You gave me life, you gave me love.
Please watch over me from above.
