Life's Journey of Anthony Q. Evans, Sr . Anthony was born on June 19, 1953, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Rocky F. Evans, Sr and Idolyeu Redd. He was the fourth in line of seven children. His siblings Rocky Evans Jr., Ronnie Roper, Donnie Roper, and Levetta Burke, all preceded him in death. Jerol Younger and Rhonda (Dexter) Webb remain as the surviving siblings. After attending Dungee and Spencer High Schools and graduating, Anthony completed four years of sheet metal school, and as a result began his career as a precision sheet metal expert.  In the late 1960's Anthony relocated to Denver, Colorado. He was the father of 7 daughters and two sons; grandfather of 25, and the great-grandfather of 14.

A s a child, Anthony liked to spend quality time with his older brother. Anthony was known for being very competitive, he despised losing and wasn't afraid to voice his displeasure. Anthony was very proud of his work as a precision sheet metal expert. Some of his greatest accomplishments in his career were monumental contributions to some of the City of Denver's most prominent transportation and infrastructure. He took part in building the Denver International Airport, Denver Pavilions, Coors Field, and the Invesco Stadium. On, November 11, 1989 Anthony married Gail Evans. Gail and Anthony met in 1980 and became the  best of friends. Their friendship grew into a love song better known as "A Love Ballad".

A nthony was an extraordinary soloist, with an exceptionally wide vocal range. Hitting notes as high as Eddie Kendricks from the Temptations and belting notes as low and deep as Barry White. He had a deep and rich love for music. His all-time favorite tunes come from none other than Smokey Robinson.  Those that knew Anthony best knew that he was truly a fashion connoisseur. He didn't just dress to the "nines" but, Anthony's family and friends would say that Anthony dressed to the "tens"!

S ome of Anthony's favorite things were: watching tv shows such as cartoons, he would have a fit if he missed the nightly news and investigative crime shows; cake, chocolate shakes with a banana, he didn't play about his hamburgers, Miller Lite, and he loved to play the lottery. Additionally, he was an avid football fan showing support for "both" of his teams, the Oklahoma Sooners and the Denver Broncos. Yet out of all of the things Anthony loved in this world, the thing that he cherished the most was his family. Anthony took great delight in entertaining his family by singing, dancing, and his one- of a kind comedic ability. Anthony was hysterically funny; he had a way of telling jokes and filling a room with laughter in spite of the situation or his condition.

Anthony Q. Evans , Sr. loved the Lord with his whole heart, and was looking forward to being with his Heavenly Father! He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, Rocky, Ronnie, Donnie, sister Levetta, his son in law Danny Foster Sr., and his grandson Raysean Abram. He was deeply loved and will be greatly mourned and missed by his wife Gail Evans, his brother Jerol, his sister Rhonda (Dexter), his children, Reyniko Abram of Chicago, Yolanda Abram, Tenee (Jeffery) McFarland, Anthony Q. Evans, Jr., Lawrence (Jamila) Goshon, Mya Brown of Dallas, Texas, Juanita Holman, Terri Robinson of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Antoinette Foster, his grandchildren and great-grands who fondly call him Baba, his grand-dog Pepper, his best friend Clarence Gage, a host of nieces and nephews along with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
