Amiya Jordan McDowell, lovingly known to her family and friends, passed away at the age of 24 on September 12, 2025. She was born on February 8, 2001, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she spent most of her life.

Amiya will be remembered for her vibrant creativity and passion. A graduate of Palmer High School, she pursued her love of beauty through her studies in Cosmetology. She also discovered a special talent for baking, delighting loved ones with her amazing cakes made for life's most important celebrations. In recent years, Amiya began sharing her gifts more widely as an up-and-coming social media influencer, showcasing cooking, makeup, and hair tutorials. Those closest to her will forever cherish her humor, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering love for her children.

She is survived by her parents, Stephanie Luna and Kris Higginbotham; her step-parents, Amanda Higginbotham and John Reyes; her grandparents, Beatrice and Ken Wyman, and Diane and Tracy Evans; her beloved children, Penelope and Nova McDowell; and her siblings, Kristyna, Joseph, Jacob, and Damien. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Luna. Amiya's life touched many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
