Wanda Lee Lott was born January 13,1955 in Saint Louis, Missouri to her loving parents S T Lott and Grace Elizabeth Foster. When Wanda was just a little girl they moved to East Chicago, Indiana. Wanda enjoyed the love from her 9 siblings. Marvin, Barbara Jo, Joyce Ann, Yolanda, Stacy, Vanesta, Tommy, Maggie and Richshell. Wanda received her education in East Chicago attending Eugene Field Elementary School and in her teenage years attending Washington High School. Graduating class of 1973.
Wanda became the Queen in 1972, When she became a young mother to her daughter Deiana. She knew she was fit for the job and soon welcomed 2 more daughters, April and Tia. In her early years of adulting she married Malcolm Wiley of California. Later, marrying Oscar Evans of Arizona. Which in later years finding a special forever friend Larry Freeman of Colorado.
Wanda was a member of the Ladies Choice Motorcycle Club which was the only all-female MC that could carry this title at the time because all members rode and operated motorcycles. She held a job through Public Service as a Street lighting office Technician and became an Employment Analyst in the Human Resources Department for many years. Wanda embarked on a new journey with pursuing a new career in the transportation industry as a Flight Attendant for Continental Airlines, American West Airlines and US Air for over 20 years.
Everyone loved Wanda's Sweet potato pie, but she loved some Ribs, Greens and her Grandkids so much more! She was crazy about all of them. They all called her "Shugamama". She was crazy in love with her two dogs Prince and Princess. They were just as spoiled as her grandkids and great- grandkids. Shugamama loved her Blues music and would never miss a beat. The Color Purple, The Five Heartbeats, and The Temptations were just some of her favorite movies. She was also a die - hard Broncos Fan!
Wanda fought a lengthy battle of Cancer. She made her transition from this life on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, at home in Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by both of her parents S T Lott and Grace Foster, Grandmother, Laura Sampson, One great-grandchild, one brother, Marvin Jones, and three sisters, Barbarba Lott, Yolanda Collins, and Maggie Lott
The Queen leaves in her memory to Cherish Forever, three daughters, Deiana Lollis, April Lott-Penny, and Tia Collins, her grandchildren, Steven (Erma) Thompson Jr, Chataya (Jarred) Ridge, Terry C. Smith, Malaysia Lott, Elizabeth Lott, Alexis Lott, ILiyah Collins, Aunesa Collins, Keith Penny Jr, Franklyn Collins, and Kevin Collins, her twenty-nine Great Grandchildren, her siblings, Joyce Lott, Stacy (Calvert) Holloway, Vanesta Lott Grinnage, Tommy (Cindy) Lott, and Richshell Lott, her special friend Larry, Freeman, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
