Tavion Lew Thomas-Daniels was born on October 23, 2006, to Brittany Thomas and Darius Daniels. On June
30, 2023, a tragic car accident claimed the life of this beloved son, grandson, brother, friend, and exceptional
football player, leaving behind a void that will never be filled.
Tavion was given multiple school awards for his electrifying attitude, including the most sociable, class clown,
and gossiping. In Football, in which he excelled both in and outside of school, he was awarded Most Valuable
Player (MVP) in 2019 for the Spartans, First Year Varsity Award and Participation Awards, and also lettered in
Football during the 2022-2023 school year while at Rangeview High School.
Born passionate about the beautiful game, Tavion was a fantastic athlete and a rising star. His unwavering
dedication, natural talent, and relentless work ethic inspired his teammates and coaches. He was known for his
remarkable footwork, strategic gameplay, and ability to lead with his heart. Off the field, Tavion was a shining
example of compassion and kindness. His caring nature knew no bounds, and he selflessly extended a helping
hand to anyone in need. Friends and strangers alike were drawn to his infectious smile and exuded warmth.
Tavion had the remarkable gift of making everyone around him feel valued and loved.
His compassion extended far and wide, and he was a major advocate for family togetherness. Though he was
only 16 years old, Tavion had already touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an incredible mark on
their hearts. His genuine nature and free spirit will forever be cherished by his family, friends, teammates, and
all who came in contact with him.
Tavion leaves to cherish his memory his mother (Brittany Renee Thomas), father (Darius Dimitri Daniels),
siblings (Kauri Thomas-Daniels, Za'leiya Whitaker, Faith Whitaker, Kaz'mariah Vera-Daniels), grandparents
(Carolyn Henry, Darius Daniels Sr., Troy Rene Valentine (Ronald Revere Jr., Bruce Kerry Thomas), great-
grandparents (Jerry Ann Valentine-Harlan, James McCray Valentine, Lonetta Askew), a host of aunts, uncles,
and cousins, as well as other relatives and friends.
