Tammy Estelle
Mack- Swann
February 17, 1968 – December 17, 2023
Tammy (T Mack) Estelle Mack
February 17, 1968 ~ December 17,2023
Tammy Estelle Mack, lovingly known as "T Mack," was born on February 17, 1968, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to her parents, Marlene and Benny Ray Mack. Tammy was raised in a Christian home with her siblings Norman, Roger, and Rojeau. At a young age, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.
In April 1970, Tammy, her mother, and her brother relocated to Denver, Colorado. Tammy joined the Evangelist Temple Church of God in Christ, where Superintendent J.L. and Supervisor Bertha Washington were pastor and first lady. She began serving in the Sunshine Band and faithfully participated in all youth activities within the church. Tammy loved the Lord, knew the Word, and enjoyed testifying to His goodness. She emulates joy from the inside when serving the Lord.
Tammy's educational journey began at Loyola Catholic Elementary School; she also attended Manual High School, where she was an avid basketball player and member of the Pep Squad. In 1987, she graduated from Paris High School in Paris, Texas.
Upon completing High School, Tammy began working as a bank teller. Her career advanced to the medical field. She worked for Denver Health for several years and concluded her career at Kaiser Permanente as a financial counselor. There, she was loved and admired by many. Tammy was committed to helping those in need; it was the height of her ambition.
Tammy became the proud mother of a beautiful princess baby girl, Desjah Marie Mack. Tammy was a loving and devoted mother who wanted only the best for her daughter. She was the same way with her 2 grandchildren, Jahmari (2014) and Journie (2020). Tammy's most treasured time was those moments she could spend with her daughter, grandchildren, mother, and siblings! She often called herself "Mama Bear" for her daughter's protection. Tammy had zero tolerance for any disrespect to her family. If you crossed the line, you knew, "THIS MEANS WAR!!"
In 2017, Tammy joined in holy matrimony with Fontane Lamar Swann in Denver, Colorado.
Tammy found joy in shopping and the great Colorado outdoors with such adventures as snowmobiling and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time planning extravagant events. Tammy was known to be wearing the latest designer fashions, which would always be flashy and very well coordinated. Oh, and remember her lip gloss, especially when taking photos.
Tammy truly believed in "Jesus Can Work It Out," her favorite song and testimony throughout her many health and life challenges. It was December 16, 2023; on a Saturday, Tammy enjoyed that song with her daughter and sister one last time.
As Tammy transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her father, grandmothers, grandfathers, and many other immediate relatives were there to meet her.
Moreover, Tammy "T Mack's" life will thunder through all eternity in the lives of those she loved and who loved her. Her husband, Fontane L Swann; her one and only daughter, Desjah M. Mack; grandson, Jahmari J. McCoy; granddaughter, Journie D. Robinson; mother, Missionary Marlene Wells; sisters, Rojeau E. Mack, Lisa Mack, Renee Carla-Evans; brothers, Norman Christopher (Arvina) Davis, Roger William (Candy) Mack, Tracy Mack, Benny Mack Jr., Abraham Mack; aunts, Arvella Row Amarillo, TX, Alice Mariah Anderson, Denver, CO, Lee Ann Davis, Mechanicsburg, PA; uncles, Carroll Ray Davis, Amarillo, TX, Loyce Albert (Mary Kay) Davis Springfield, MO, Eddie Mack, KS; honorary, friends Lana Chapman, Tracey Jenkins-Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Family, I'm home now. Don't cry for me. My time on earth has come, and the Lord answered my prayers as I was on bended knees. Don't cry for me. I'm in a place now where pain is no more. As I walk around, gold is all over my heavenly floor. Don't cry for me, for I am at rest and wish you the best.
