Shelly Rae Groven was born September 4, 1962, in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Darwin Spencer and Darlene Spencer. She grew up surrounded by two sisters Cindy and Nicole. For 45 years she was a devoted wife to Dennis Groven. To this union two daughters were born Amy Groven and Amber Beasley.

Shelly lived a very simple life. She loved being outdoors. Hiking, going to the lakes, going to the mountains, and spending time with her family. Especially her grandkids Tierra Railey, Terrell Brown, Mariah Beasley, Arianna Beasley and Jaylen Harrison.  She was the staple of her family. She always brought everyone together.

She was a sweet, nice, and loving person who always put others first before her own needs. She had more love to give then anyone. Shelly worked as a nutrition Service worker through Aurora Public Schools. She loved the children, and they loved her back. They will deeply miss her.

On July 2, 2025 Shelly departed this life in her precious home surrounded by family. Leaving those to cherish her memory, Her husband Dennis Groven, Her daughters, Amy Groven and Amber Beasley, Her Mother Darlene Cox, Her grandchildren Tierra Railey, Terrell Brown, Mariah Beasley, Arianna Beasley and Jaylen Harrison, Her Yale Elementary School family, and a host of family members and friends.

Shelly Groven is preceded in death by her father Darwin Spencer.
