Robert "Bob" Allen Ewing
November 1, 1944 - July 25, 2023
Robert "Bob" Allen Ewing, a beloved figure in the Denver, Colorado community, passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 78. He was a true master carpenter who dedicated 58 years of his life to the craft, leaving behind a legacy of skill and passion that will forever be remembered.
Born November 1, 1944, Bob's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends. Bob's talent left a mark on the friends, family, and community he served in. Bob dedicated 58 years to the thriving business he co-founded with Doug Pollard, B&D Services.
Beyond his work, Bob had a heart full of hobbies and interests that brought joy to his life. He had an adventurous spirit and spent most of his time socializing around campfires, exploring flea markets, and watching old Western movies.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, James and LaVada, and his brother Larry. He is survived by his younger siblings, Jenice, Jim, and Linda, who continue to carry forward the memories they created together.
Bob's impact on his family continued through the generations. He is survived by his four children, Bobby, Steven, Kris, and Mike, who are a testament to his love and guidance.
Bob's legacy is further enriched by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren will inherit his spirit of adventure and love for life.
Bob cherished his friends, who called themselves "The Friday Afternoon Club," which consisted of a group of good ol' boys swapping merchandise and stories over drinks.
Bob enjoyed traveling south of the border to Mexico, if for no other reason than to party and have a good time. He also enjoyed camping with his sons Bobby and Mike in the Colorado mountains, traveling to hidden valleys, and viewing wildlife. One of Bob's most recent voyages with his son Mike took him to Edinburgh, Scotland, where they explored their family heritage, even going to where their family's castle once stood, only to find a boulder that marked the spot.
An animal lover, Bob shared his home with a variety of wildlife and a collection of rescued cats, whose presence brought comfort and companionship to his daily life.
To celebrate the life and legacy of Bob Ewing, a viewing and celebration of life will be held on August 18, 2023, at Marshall's Mortuary 3500 Forest St Denver, CO 80207, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Bob are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the memory of a man whose craftsmanship, warmth, and love
touched so many lives. Bob's legacy will live on in the hearts of those
fortunate enough to know him.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to his cat rescue to help the furry friends who have lost their dad live comfortably.
