Richard Sherman Jones was born in Denver, Colorado July 4th, 1956, to the proud parents of Maude Freeman and Steve Stevenson. He was the youngest boy out of ten children. As a youth, Richie was known to be rebellious, witty, and quick on his feet. The local authorities told him he had rabbit in his blood due to his nature of avoiding capture.

Richie changed his life for the better, fathering his 1st born son Richard Sherman Adams with Carolyn Adams. Richie met his wife Colette Jones and was married August 7th, 1981. This union produced three beautiful children, Myron Jones, Monique Jones, and Rishye Jones.

As a single father raising his boys in an affordable housing community. Richie also known as (Pops) was a leader, and served as a male role model for youth both young and old. He was the go to for more people then we can count. No matter if you needed help with your automobile, or just needed a loving ear or candid advice, you can count on Rich to deliver. Richie enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends and family and occasionally taking a shot of bumpy face as he would call it. Richie was also known for his witty comments, and metaphorical sayings that made sense of life's trial and tribulations

Richie will be sorely missed as a dedicated Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Richie's legacy lives on through his bloodline. Richie's parents Maude Freeman and Steve Stevenson are both deceased. Richie is survived by his sons Richard Adams, Myron Jones, Monique Jones (Deceased), Rishye Jones, his Grandchildren Ronnesha Adams, Mykel Jones, Keira Adams, Treasure Adams, Rishye Jones Jr, Richard Adams Jr, Mykia Jones, Joseph Jones, Mykhi Jones and Mylee Jones, Great Grandchildren Torrey Adams-lane and Rishye Jones III. Richie is also survived by his siblings Ronnie Craig (Deceased), James Riley (Deceased), Beverly Green, Gerald Gram (Deceased), Lanetta posey (Deceased), Holly Young, Gifford Jones (Deceased), Sherrie Moss & Terry Wilds, and many loving nieces, nephews and In-laws.
