Obituary

Priscilla Mae Przybyla
Feb 13, 1940 May 20, 2025.

Grandma Priscilla was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 20, 2025, while visiting her daughter and grandson in Denver, Colorado. She was born in Bakersfield, California, to Madeline and Howard Long and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1957. She furthered her education by completing Business College.
In 1963, she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Przybyla, in Bakersfield. Together, they embarked on an incredible journey. Following a hunting and fishing trip, Jerry fell in love with Alaska. He moved his family to Anchorage in 1968. It was there that they built a life filled with love, hard work, and adventure.
Her dedication and resilience were evident in her role as the bookkeeper for their family business, Jerry's Auto Service, for 50 years. She also pursued her passions through various careers, working at Lake Otis Greenhouse and later as a travel agent in Anchorage, where she delighted in exploring the world to promote the industry. Her love for gardening was a cherished hobby, as she effortlessly planted vibrant flowers each year, beautifying the spaces around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen Przybyla; Son in law Derek Reed,  her parents, Madeline and Howard Long; her brother, John Long; her sister, Louise Oscars; and her in-laws, Henry and Marie Przybyla, Lenny and John Przybyla, and Jack and Gracie Doyle. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry, and their three children: Tony (Diane) Przybyla of Anchorage; Jennifer (Michael) LaFramboise of Anchorage; and Andrea Reed of Denver, Colorado. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory and carry forward her love and wisdom.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Anchorage at a later date to honor her remarkable journey.
The family extends our deepest gratitude to her care teams at UC Health, her Anchorage Care Team Providers and Marshall's Mortuary for their kindness, compassion and support.
