God's Good and Faithful Servant!
There's a new day; the sun has risen, the birds are singing, and there's sharpness in the air. It's late spring in Des Moines, Iowa, on Tuesday, May 7th of, 1946. George and Margaret Shade were expecting a new addition to their family. Would it be a boy, or would it be a girl? Was the question on everybody's mind. Still, in everyone's heart, their prayer was for a healthy, God-fearing child. One who would grow up with splendid character; that's precisely what happened when the appointed time arrived, and a bouncing handsome baby boy that they named Floyd Edward brought more joy and happiness into the Shade home.
