Lera D. Moore
January 2, 1956 - March 27, 2023
Winter of 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, the wind blew like a cold winter squall which cast a biting in the air as you will often find in January. Yet there is warmth in the Willingham home as Rebertha is expecting her third child.
Rebertha was already blessed with a daughter Denise and a son Daryl. Nevertheless, there was anticipation that another girl or boy would join the Willingham family.
Thursday, January the 1st, people worldwide were celebrating a new year. Still, the celebration had yet to commence in the Willingham household until the birth of Lera.
Lera is the name Rebertha gave to her newborn daughter as she held her in her arms. A name that means a strength or health trait that Lera would display throughout her life. The Willingham home was later blessed with three more children Delano, Paul, and Désirée. Being one of six children, love abounded throughout Lera's childhood.
Lera loved Christ and was baptized at the Peaceful Rest Baptist Church.
The Willingham family moved to Colorado, where Lera attended school graduating from George Washington high school.
Lera became a mother herself giving birth to two beautiful children, her daughter Jacquelin and her son.
Taking the responsibilities of motherhood seriously, she was a homemaker who could tend to her children's needs.
Lera moved and lived in Oakland, CA, for a short period, where she enjoyed the beaches.
True love will find everyone the type of love that words cannot describe. Lera found this love when in 1998, she married Mr. Frederick Sinceno. Lera and Fredrick were married until death did them part.
Lera enjoyed cooking, shopping at thrift stores, and watching "Days of Our Lives" or court shows, Judge Mathis, Judge Judy "The People's Court," etc.
Lera passed from this world Monday, March 27th, 2023.
As Lera crossed that majestic river, there to meet her were her husband, Frederick, and her mother, Rebertha.
Moreover, Lera's legacy of love will echo through eternity in the lives of those she's left behind. Her daughter Jacquelin Turner, son Chance Moore. Lera's siblings: Denise Daniels, Daryl Sheppard, Delano Moore, Paul Willingham, and Désirée Willingham. Lera's seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
