Josiaz Dartagnian Aragon
August 10, 2007 ~ August 8, 2022
The time has come to let you go; here on earth, you no longer sow.
Your laughter, your smile, your energy too, are just a few of the things we will miss of you.
Rest in peace our shining star for we'll love you rather near or far. Our Hearts will swell because we only had you for a spell. The memories you left are brighter and will linger, and with that our love is higher.
"Faith, Hope, Live." These are some of the attributes of Josiaz Dartagnian Aragon, affectionately known as JoJo. JoJo was goofy, spontaneous, intelligent, spiritual, and very family oriented.
Born in Thornton, Colorado, Friday, August the 10th, 2007, to mother Autumn Aragon and Father Saad Dominguez. Josiaz became a big brother to his mother's daughter, Annabel, and later his father's side gifted him with brothers Daniel and Saad Dominguez, and Leroy Arellano.
Josiaz was educated in the Jefferson County school district. He attended Jeffco Head Start, Arvada K-8, Samuels Elementary (Denver), Foster Elementary, Fitzmorris Elementary, Carmody Middle, and Bear Creek High School.
JoJo enjoyed being a teenager and relished in what teenagers want- video games. He especially loved Madden and GTA. Mexican food was Jojo's favorite, but he would eat almost anything you put in front of him including spaghetti and ranch! Then he would want what was on your plate too! When grocery shopping was done and the groceries were unloaded, JoJo would be in the kitchen snacking on all the goodies brought from the store.
His love and interest for physical activity was shown at an early age. At two years old he was already doing more push-ups than what most grown men could do, and most of the time he did them one handed. Jojo's passion for physical activity was evident by his participation in multiple sports and activities such as football, wrestling and boxing. He was an exceptional athlete, excelling in all he did.
When it came to music JoJo was a renaissance man loving everything from Oldies, 90's- current R&B to old school country and, of course, new school rap. One of his favorite songs was Tennessee Whiskey by country legend George Jones.
One could say Josiaz was a lover of many things, but most of all his family was his priority. Josiaz's love for his sister began while she was in the womb. He was just one year old when he would ask his mom to pick him up so he could rub her belly, comforting his baby sister. Their love was apparent from the beginning. He always looked out for Annabel, affectionately calling her "Sister." He rarely called her by her legal name. He was her protector and always was concerned about her. Josiaz was faithful and loved his mother. He looked up to her for her joy, laughter and resilience. Josiaz reflected his mother in the way he always saw the positive in life and the adventure of each new day. He would sing country songs to his mom with all of his heart, taking her to the living room to dance with her. He often could be found cuddling with her and his sister. Their bond was a beautiful thing to watch. He found strength from these women in his life. His whole being cared about taking care of them. Jojo's happiness was being surrounded by his family. He was raised with all of his cousins. They were more than relatives, they were his siblings whom he cherished and protected. He was the life of the party, full of energy with a contagious smile. The joy he experienced and the laughter that he enjoyed and brought was treasured in the hearts of the people he touched.
It was in late summer of the year 2022, the month of August, on a Monday, the 8th day, that JoJo's laughter
fell silent. We can never love someone as much as we will miss them, and JoJo will truly be missed.
Moreover, JoJo's reminiscences will reverberate in the lives of those he touched. The ones that he loved and the ones that loved him. Josiaz Aragon is survived by his parents, Autumn Aragon and Saad Dominguez, siblings; Annabel Aragon, Leroy Arellano, Daniel and Saad Dominguez and all of his relatives and friends.
Jojo's family has special memories of the times they spent with him, including the following tributes.

" We grew up as twins. 8 months and 8 days apart. Fighting over sippy cups then wearing each other's clothes and shoes. We are not twins from the same mother but we are twins at heart. You were my brother I never had. Love you." -Nena
Son, I wish I could wake up and see you standing there.
Then I would know that it was just a nightmare.
Son, I remember when you were small and how you would hold my hand,
and as you grew older you became my best friend.
Son, I have 14 years of memories that I will treasure and keep safe in my heart.
We share a bond that time and distance can never break apart.
Son, oh how my heart aches so.
I would love to have you back and never let you go.
Son, where there was happiness,
now there is sadness.
Son, how I long to hear your voice and see your beautiful smile
and have you back for just a little while.
Son, until that day I see you again,
I will look to the sky and search among the stars for my son and best friend.
Love
