Gloria F.

July 8, 1929 – April 1, 2025
The sun rose on the life of Gloria Faith Bentley on July 8, 1929, in Omaha, Nebraska to Ralph and Ida Bryant. The oldest of six born to this union. Gloria was the proud big sister to Ralph, Roland, Lawrence, Delores and Miriam. Gloria received majority of her childhood education through Omaha Public Schools until 1945 when the family moved to Denver, Colorado. She then attended Denver Public Schools graduating from Manual High School in 1947.
In February 1950 Gloria and Harvey Bentley were joined in Holy matrimony. To this beautiful union Terrence and Carin were born. Gloria was an amazing wife and mother. Terry was so proud that his mom was the Den Mother of the Cub's scouts in the neighborhood. She would teach them how to make desserts out of Jello and jewelry out of marbles. Gloria had a passion for helping people. She would collect recipes to share, take random visits to Omaha to see family, and host family gatherings for the holidays.
Gloria was a diligent hard-working woman. She worked as a domestic engineer until she was employed by the state of Colorado. Where she retired after 35 years. After her retirement Gloria enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, reading, and being active in the Senior Women Missions Program for the state FMCC Salem District and St. Stephens Missions Program. Gloria was a faithful member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church. She was recognized as the Matriarch of the church. Mother Bentley will be truly missed.
