Fenisha Yvette Hughes, beloved mother, friend, and vibrant spirit, passed away on October 9, 2025, in Colorado at the age of 56.

Fenisha was born to Deloris and Melvin Hughes Jr. on October 11, 1968, in Arkansas. She spent much of her life in Flint, Michigan, where she built lasting relationships and made her home. Fenisha was known for her warm, outgoing nature and her deep care for others. She had a gift for conversation and loved to spend time on the phone, checking in with family and friends, always making sure everyone was doing well. Her thoughtfulness and presence were a constant comfort to those who knew her.

Above all, Fenisha was a devoted mother to her son, Jibrille Hughes, who was the light of her life. Her love and support for him were unwavering, and her legacy lives on through him.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jibrille Hughes; 2 brothers, Melvin Hughes III and Constance Hughes; 1 sister, Quiana Hughes; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
