Debra Lynn Thompson
Debra Lynn Thompson was born April 5, 1960. She was born to Ernest L. Thompson and Farris L Thompson Nee Holland. She spent her childhood in Los Angeles, California. She attended Normandie Avenue Elementary School, Henry Clay Junior High School, and Manual Arts High School. After graduating High School Debra sharpened her employment marketability at the Job Readiness Training at the Empowerment school.
Debra was the proud mother of 10 beautiful children. Larry, Rodney, Olivete, Pearl, William, Christopher, Cornelius, Joseph, Evelyn and Joshua. She loved her children with all of her heart and they knew they could always count on their mom to be there for them. She loved the Lord and knew she always had a praise in her heart. She was a member of Greater Faith Baptist Church and a current member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Debra was a Colorado Rockies employee. She received the Colorado Rockies Customer Service MVP Award and the employee of the month award. Debra also worked for the Pepsi Center, Mile High Stadium and also the Denver Convention Center. In her free time she would Volunteer at Joy’s Kitchen, Westy Futures Basketball program and the Church of God Seventh Day (Thornton).
Debra departed this life on April 23, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest L. Thompson and Farris L. Thompson Nee Holland, Her son, Christopher Bates, her granddaughter, Zamyah Pittman, Her brother James Snordan.
She leaves those to Cherish in her memory, Her partner, Robert Hines, her children, Larry Jackson, Rodney Parker, Olivete Thompson, Pearl Bates, William Bates Jr., Cornelius Bates, Joseph Pittman, Evelyn Pittman and Joshua Pittman, Her grandchildren, Jiair Claiborne, Alon Dennis , Royal Taylor, Dominic Romero, Ajah Dennis, Allen Brand, Amari Dennis, Aaliyah Bates, Cornelius Bates II, Ezekiel Bates, Cam’ Ron Bates, Ke’shawn Pittman-Johnson, Sophia Pittman-Johnson, Jocelyn Pittman, Aviana Bates, Christiana Bates, Jonah Pittman-Garner, Nehemiah Pittman-Garner, Josiah Pittman, Ariyah Pittman-Garner, Amir Bates, and Kamiyah Pittman-Garner, Her Great Grandchildren, A’moraye Claiborne, A’vaiyah Claiborne, A’vantaye Claiborne, Hezekiah Caquias, Genesis Romero, and Nova Bates, Her Siblings, Louis Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Gwendolyn Gentry, Sandra Thompson, Alamud-Deen Thompson, Malikah Thompson and Attiyyah Thompson
