CHACHEE
March 17, 1986 - July 11, 2022
" A Naturalist "
" A Million Times "
A million times I will miss you, A million times I will cry.
If LOVE alone could have saved you, never would you have died.
In life, I loved you dearly; in death, I LOVE you still.
In my heart, you hold a place no one else can fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, yet you didn't die alone.
For a part of me went with you the day God called you home!
.
Chachee was born in Florida and moved to Kemah, Texas, at age three, residing
there till he was twenty-six but considered Colorado his home.
He was a phenomenal athlete who excelled in track in field, leading the varsity team
of Clear Creek High School to State Championships in his Sophomore and Junior
years.
He met Kelly, the love of his life, a few days after his twenty-seventh birthday.
Twenty years his senior, he met his match; from that day forward, you rarely saw
one without the other. Along with their beloved Chi-Weenie, Itabit, they traveled
across the United States, and he loved to brag about the two times they were guests
on daytime reality shows.
Chachee loved her son Joe and considered him his own; He was proud of the man
he had become. In April, Chachee was excited to welcome Joe's son into the world.
He loved the great outdoors, enjoying nature and all she had to offer. You could
find Chachee in the open air regardless of the weather or the temperature. Going
camping was one of his favorite things; he could get a fire going in any element,
indoors or out. He loved exploring new places and set off on long hikes listening to
his favorite music.
With a long-time interest in Geology, Colorado was a good fit for him. He caught
Gold Fever, and lady luck shined upon him when seeking gold and other minerals
in the rich Colorado mountains.
A natural-born chef, he dreamed of opening his own restaurant where he would
showcase his original recipes. Watching others enjoy what he prepared for them
gave him great pleasure.
Chachee will never be forgotten, though; on earth, he is no more.
Still, in memory, Chachee is with us, as he always was before
