Obituary

Beverly "Kandie" Millican was born in Denver, CO to Virginia and Dexter. To this union, she was the second child born. Kandie received all of her childhood education through Denver Public Schools. She attended Hallet and Holm Elementary, Hamilton Middle School, George Washington High School and graduated from Collins Hill High school in Georgia in 1995. She spent her childhood surrounded by the love of her family. They remember all of the good times that were shared together like going to Las Vegas (Circus Circus) and California once a year. Including getting to experience and enjoy the adventure of Disneyland due to Mom's fortunate gambling win.

Kandie spent the majority of her career working in customer service. She loved everyone and everyone she came across loved her. They latched on to her infectious smile, her laughter and her bubbly outgoing personality. Kandie's main passion was music and singing. Kandie loved music and singing so much that she and her sisters would go out to sing Karaoke together. Kandie even attended Colorado State University and took music classes (some videos of her can be found under Kandie on vimeo.com). In the early 2000's, Kandie and her sister Natalie joined a local Denver band called The Fabulous Boogienauts. They played many gigs and opening concerts, and were known throughout the state of Colorado. Kandie also loved fishing trips, camping, video games, bike riding, strawberry shortcake (the character), and visiting the family farm. She also cheered on her hometown sports teams (Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche).

Kandie enjoyed playing card games, dice games, and many other board games. She loved going to concerts of big named bands as well as local bands. She also often thought about her family, sending letters, notes, cards, and small gifts just to say "Hi" and to let them know that she loved them. Kandie loved hanging out with her buddy, Auntie Macky (with her daughter Courtney) and her best friend from school, Veneza.

Beverly "Kandie" Millican is preceded in death by her father Dexter Millican, and her stepfather Rusty Steil.

Leaving those to cherish in her loving memory are her mother Virginia, her sisters, Leslie, Joy (Josh), Natalie (Josh), her nieces and nephews, Deandria, Jace, Maddox, Kratos, Elizabeth, Dean, Jaidyn, and Nathan, and a host of other family and friends.
